With specials advertised on the main page, you’re sure to grab a bargain. Cameron Pope, Marketing Manager at Bikebiz took us through the changes and what to expect for 2010:

db: Bikebiz have launched a new website, what was the reason behind this?

CP: We have always had the right products at the right prices, but it was not always easy to navigate. We also wanted to utilise the latest development tools to put us at the forefront of online shopping in our category.

db: What are some of the new stand-out features of the new site?

CP: We’ve combined our bikes and parts/accessories into the one site (previously two). You can easily compare products and prices now, and read product reviews. We’re adding multimedia to appropriate listings, so for example when you view the Aprilia RSV4 you not only get an overview, but can download the product brochure and video all in the one spot. There’s also comprehensive fitment guides to take the guesswork out of apparel shopping.

db: The Bikebiz membership seems to keep growing, what sort of advantages can a member expect?

CP: Our member area allows you to track your order, and you can create wishlists or subscribe to RSS feeds so you’re on top of any news or new releases. The new community section will house all our social rides and track day info, and later provide a portal for members to share their experiences. We will also be able to apply specific offers to customer groups, so for example frequent shoppers may receive unique offers or discounts.

db: There is an offer with the launch of the new site, tell us about that?

CP: We are offering $8 flat rate postage Australia-wide*. This is a bargain of course, but we wanted all our products, even the heavier items like tyres and parts, to be accessible to all. (*excludes bikes. Offer expires 31/01/10 so get in quick!)
